This workshop is intended to take your surfaces to the next level. Liz will guide participants into rethinking their approach to surface by sharing many simple techniques that create a complex design.
Participants will explore a variety of techniques aimed at developing surface depth through stamping, slip trailing and stenciling. They will also learn to make and apply terra sigillata. All of these techniques may be used at any temperature on functional and sculptural works.
Students will practice techniques on test tiles as well as bone dry pots they bring from home.
This workshop emphasizes one-on-one interaction in a supportive, positive environment where experimentation is encouraged and individual development is nurtured.
